A life-long Wisconsin resident, Garrett graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a journalism degree including an emphasis on advertising and public relations. At UW-O, Garrett met his friend and future Edge founder, Andy Lehmkuhl.
With heavy focuses on marketing capacity, compliance, and assisting clients with project management, Garrett maneuvered the corporate ranks and world of financial institutions and investment companies for 25 years. During this time, he obtained and carried his Series 6, 26 and 63 licenses.
During his career advancement, it was at a smaller financial services firm that focused on “boutique” advisers that Garrett developed a deep interest in more personal and customized relationships. Edge’s focus on one to one relationships and small business style attention prompted Garrett to reconnect with his friends at Edge and he eventually inquired about a career change where he could focus on growth and development. His experience within both boutique and corporate roles led him to believe that a change to something more grassroots would be welcome.
Garrett lives in the Milwaukee area and enjoys spending time with his two children and supporting their pursuits. He also enjoys cooking, sporting events, and outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. Garrett is a big fan of the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Admirals- a loyal Wisconsinite! Garrett is excited to join Edge and is looking forward to helping practices connect and learn how Edge Advisors can assist them.
