Brett Blough (Blough rhymes with “wow”) joined the Edge Team in 2025. Brett grew up in Ventura, California and eventually settled in Massachusetts about a decade ago. Although he’s firmly a New Englander at this point, he still shamelessly prides himself on talking like someone who remembers how to surf, (but in all actuality only recalls how to order off the secret menu at In-N-Out Burger). Brett has been in the recruiting field for over 15 years. His journey in the dental industry began in 2016 at Midwest Dental (DSO) where he specialized in hiring dentists for practices throughout the Northeast. It’s at Midwest Dental where he worked under the direction of Drew Lockie, and alongside Kayla Waller, current Partners with Edge Advisors. As a part of what he lovingly refers to as the “Dream Team,” Drew, Kayla, and Brett were able to lead a very successful doctor recruiting department that continually exceeded goals while supporting 230+ dental practices nationwide.
In 2022, after building a doctor recruiting team at a growing startup in the Vet Industry the year prior, Brett successfully launched his own veterinarian recruitment business. Determined to not just provide quick placements, but to offer true top-notch service, Brett was able to scale his recruiting business to support animal hospitals in over 20 states. However, as you likely know, once you work in the dental field, it’s hard to fully leave. The relationships formed by being a part of the Dental Community are ones that are hard to truly give up! So, Brett kept his foot in the door as he worked with a dental group placing dentists in a collection of practices throughout New England. In 2025, Brett was welcomed onto the Edge Advisors Team where he’s honored to serve his clients through placing the best doctor candidates possible for the practices he supports.
Brett lives in Grafton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Gina, and their two very active, fun-loving boys. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his family, volunteering at his church, and cheering on his sons at their baseball and football games and martial arts competitions. Brett loves to cook and is a loyal Arizona Cardinals fan.
